This year, my friend Amanda wanted to give her boyfriend Nick a likeness of his dog Luke for Christmas - so she came to me for help. And of course I was happy to help!
She was looking for a very cuddle-able puppy-sized stuffed toy. I haven't made anything quite like that before, but when I finally put yarn to hook, it took me maybe seven hours total to complete.

Nick brought him home to meet the actual Luke and sent me this picture:
Awwww!
Most ambitious, and a definite challenger for most adorable (although luke2 and tuxedo penguin hat may have to battle for cutest)
