A Day at the River

My partner Kenny and I went to the Boise area to visit with his parents last week. Because the weather was so nice, we decided to go fishing.

We found a beautiful, secluded area in the wilderness past Idaho City.

Ken made FIVE catches! They were all suckerfish, though, so he let them go. I guess they're no good to eat.

What a ham!

We were so deep in the woods that we saw all kinds of critters - squirrels, groundhogs, chipmunks, and even a deer!

I made friends with this butterfly. I guess I smelled nice, because even though he left a few times, he always came right back to land on me! He must have been on my hand for 45 minutes.

What a beautiful, relaxing day!
